In another post, you had mentioned you investigated the possibility of franchising your business. Why did you decide against doing it?

In the end it was a personal decision to not take on the huge project that franchising your company is.
At the time I had grown my company to be a fair size and investigated franchising as a way to continue to grow. However, after much consideration I decided to maintain the company as is - in fact I downsized a little - for the sake of a simpler life and more free time with my family.
I think franchising is a great way to grow a business if you do it correctly... just not for me :-)

That is a good point and something to think about. So often we have these dreams of taking over the world with our business concepts. But then the potential for the business to consume all our time is always a problem. It's like the old saying, becareful what you wish for, you just might get it.
If all you do is work, you are missing out on a lot of living.
