I don't know where you live but I'd like to! Yeah sounds like a good deal especially because I'm looking for just such a beast. If you don't buy it drop me a line & let me know what area to look under!

Ok yeah that looks a little rough..... *Maybe $300? *See how it runs. *I know I see similar machines in much better condition around here for 1200-1500. *That thing looks like it's seen it's better day.... *probably about 6 years ago. http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

You will spend more time working on it then using it. Also more money on fixing it then makin money with it if you cant get it for 200 dollars dont do it.

Mike,

I know a lot of new business owners are considering buying used equipment. Where would you suggest someone draw the line on what they should or shouldn't buy?

When is a mower just too beat up to be worthwhile?

Can you give us any advice on that?

First we have to look at hours if there is no hour meter that is our first sign. Then we look for repair marks on any of the metal areas like weld marks because if there is weld marks that possibly means that it was broke damaged and once you mess with the metal it weakens the metal. Next we look at the motor end if the motor starts rite up could be a good sign if it takes some pulls then well bad sign could be tired motor when it is running is making odd noises, is it shaking oddly, is it blowin smoke . All signs of tired motor. We have a model use it for 2 years and sell it. I can mor einput on this later there is a link www.lawnindustryconsultants.com to our sister comapny take a look we are driven around the lawn care provider.

Thank you
