I'm very new to the forum but am interested in getting involved. It looks like something I want to be included in! anyways....

I was wondering is it too late to get christmas light/decoration jobs? I'm going to try and use one of the free flyers and get some more customers. Please reply. Thanks!!!

Hi LGYardService,

Welcome to our forum!

It's never too late! Get a flyer and edit it, then hand it out. Let us know how it works out for you.

How long have you been running your business?

Thanks Luke!

There was another flyer for getting more winter work we recently posted in the free flyer section. The idea was from Keith.

Here is is.

Download from this page (http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=942;st=80).

Would this help you at all?

Or are you thinking of offering other things?

I don't really know what to offer in the winter. I was leaning toward more snow removal and maybe some Christmas decorations but the "handyman" idea could be a good start. I've been in business for about 3 years and have mainly focused in on the spring and summer lawn care. I was thinking about buying a snowblower and getting more serious about the snow but idk. Do you think the chances are good if i recieve some new winter accounts and then offer all season service? Once again, thanks for all you help and I am going to continue to use Gopher. THANKS!

Can you explain this a little more? What do you mean?

Sorry, i didnt say that very well. lol

What I meant was if I establish some new customers for Winter jobs, like snow removal, do u think I would be able to service them in the spring and summer with lawn care? Thanks!

By the way, how do you quote something? http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Oh absolutely. It gives you a way to meet new customers. When you are helping them with winter services, you build a bond with them. Then you can sell them other services a lot easier.

It is always cheaper to sell to your current customer base than it is to try to reach out to new people and sell them a service.

So even if you sell simple handy man services in the winter, like changing hard to reach light bulbs or whatever, it helps you in the long run.

You can edit the flyer with a free program called openoffice.org. Download it from http://www.openoffice.org

Flyers do work.

Keep getting your name out and the services you offer.

Let us know what you create and what kind of response you get.
