Have you seen these yet?

I don't know about you, but I would love to try one of these. I bet they are amazing to ride. I wonder how it feels to corner on them though.

What's your view?

BRP enters street-legal market with three-wheeled Can-Am Spyder (http://www.canada.com/montrealgazette/news/business/story.html?id=63c4988d-9002-4be7-b346-cb0ed1e4a886) - Look! It's a motorcycle. It's a convertible sports car. It's a snowmobile on wheels. It's ... Bombardier Recreational Products Inc.'s latest power-sports motorized machine.

The firm famous for developing recreational vehicles for use on snow, water and off-road is entering the street-legal market with the new Can-Am Spyder three-wheeled roadster.

"This is a historic event for BRP, particularly for our Valcourt and Austrian employees as it confirms the strategic role of BRP's Quebec manufacturing facilities for assembling complex and sophisticated vehicles and BRP/Rotax's leadership in engine development," company president Jose Boisjoli said at yesterday's unveiling at the Eastern Townships plant where the Spyder will be built.

"With Can-Am Spyder, we are redefining the roadster category by bringing the power sports experience to the road through this new generation of vehicles," the CEO added before 2,500 employees and dignitaries. "BRP is entering a new era that will provide growth opportunities for our company worldwide and potentially create new jobs."

The company better known for Ski-Doos, Sea-Doos and all-terrain vehicles plans to start manufacturing the Spyder by fall with a progressive ramp-up over the next three years to meet expected market demand.

With a suggested base retail price of $18,499 in Canada and $14,999 U.S. south of the border, the Spyder will first be available in four provinces and 12 selected states followed by France and Spain early next year. Worldwide availability is expected within three to four years.
