Biker buildoff?

Do you ever watch the Discovery channel biker buildoff?

Just recently these guys "Detroit Brothers"

Built this bike with spikes coming out of the fuel tank.

Is it just me or do a lot of these bike designs seem REALLY unsafe?

They also were considering a foot engaged clutch. How do you put your foot down when you are stopped if you need to hold down the clutch?

It looks nice but I don't know how safe it would be to ride at highway speeds.
