ok now what?

03-01-2005, 04:03 PM
Hi Kustom Kare,

Great work! Let us create a marketing plan and set some goals. Your current client base is 15?

I would like to see. Three projections:

1. A total number of new customers you feel you can easily attract this season.

2. A total number of new customers you feel will be moderately difficult to attract this season.

3. A total number of new customers you feel will be extremely tough to attract this season.

4. What date do you want these total customers by?

When we set up your projections in a chart, you can then post weekly how many new customers you were able to get that week. This should help inspire and motivate you to reach your goals.

Expenses: How much would you ideally like to pay yourself per hour? Pre-Tax and after taxes?

What does it cost you per hour for your employee, Pre-Tax and after taxes?

Hi Kustom Kare,

Here is our customer goal chart for this year ending in August to help motivate you. Now that we have these goals, we will be able to chart your progress throughout the season.

Each month you should report back here and let us know your latest customer count to see where you are at in your goal. You might want to print out this chart and put it somewhere where you will see it each day to inspire you.

Hi Kustom Kare,

Do you have a logo already? Do you need one or flyers made?

If you would like some personalized marketing material made for your company, please take some pictures of you in front of and on your equipment and post them.

03-07-2005, 05:39 PM
i have a cheap looking logo but i would like a better one . that sounds great . where would you suggest i take the pictures at ?

03-07-2005, 06:24 PM
Hi Kustom Kare,

Review our logo gallery here (http://www.gophergraphics.com/index.cgi?page=artists) and let us know which one(s) we could use to base your logo on.

Review this page (http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=1138) and see how Hamons took his photos. If you could use that as a start it may help you with some ideas. Maybe even some pics of you standing in front of all your equipment with your truck / trailer as the backdrop. Be creative and experiment. Send us what you get and we will create some marketing material for you.

great job x ray i like 730. the only problem i see is that its too many colors. what do you think about as afr as printing this ?

03-14-2005, 02:06 PM
Hi Kustom Kare,

They all look great. You should be able to easily have these recreated on vinyl for your truck. Many vinyl places can print on the vinyl material so the number of colors isn't an issue. Other printing facilities like www.48hourprinting.com only print in full color so there is no extra charge for additional colors when they print on paper.

Kustom Kare
03-20-2005, 11:39 AM
hey x-ray is there any way you could redo my original logo . the problem with that logo is that i cant do anything with .

03-21-2005, 03:36 PM
Hi Kustom Kare,

You might want to be more specific about what you mean by redo your original logo. The more specific you are the better.

Kustom Kare
03-21-2005, 06:00 PM
ok well my original logo i cant enlarge or shrink it. i like the lay out and everything. maybe just change the writing like #730 and use the 2 greens like that one too. i did a poll on ******** and everyone said my original logo stands out better.

Kustom Kare
03-22-2005, 01:00 PM
xray how about 737 and put the white line under Kustom Kare , just like the original. the other thing is that i wanted to make sure that the 2 greens are different colors and arent just different shades. the other thing is to do away with the black outline of the writing . also could i have another logo with my phone number under all of it for printing on t shirts 314-220-9165 looks great ! * thanks jeff

03-22-2005, 02:09 PM
Hi Xray,

Here is the original logo. It's the biggest I can find. Maybe this will help you with matching up the colors?

Kustom Kare if you have a larger one, you might want to post it as well to mtch up the colors.

Kustom Kare
03-22-2005, 05:15 PM
is this one bigger

03-22-2005, 05:40 PM
That looks like the same size to me. Your goal is to keep the same colors right? Maybe that will be large enough to recreate them.

05-17-2005, 09:22 AM
Hi Kustom Kare,

I'm Joel LaRusic, author of this month's Book of the Month - 'Start & Run A Landscape Business'. The Gopher Team asked me to see if we can offer you any more advice as you grow your company.

I see it's been a couple of months since you started the Head Start program. Your business plan was great... very well thought out.

How has it been going for you this year so far?

How are your new customer projections?

Have you put your new logo to work on flyers or other advertising and are you targeting neighborhoods as your business plan indicated you would?

Please post an update with your progess and let us know if there are any specific areas where you would like some advice and help.

Look forward to hearing back from you.
