This is an older article but it does point out a potentially interesting marketing idea.

What if you held seminars in your area on such a topic? Or you made yourself available to different community groups in your area to speak on such topics.

Would it be worthwhile to do this?

What's your view?

Free lawn care forum set for tomorrow at 7 (http://www.berkshireeagle.com/pittsfield/ci_6174468) - A free educational form on organic lawn care, hosted by Ward 4 Councilor Michael L. Ward, will take place at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Williams Elementary School at 50 Bushey Road.

The presentation will include health risks to humans and pets associated with synthetic pesticides and the benefits of the organic approach.

"I believe that a lot of people would choose not to put chemicals on their lawn if there was an easy alternative," Ward said in a written statement. "The goal of this forum is to connect people with that alternative."

The forum will conclude with a question-and-answer session. Representatives from at least two local lawn care companies will be on hand with information about their services.
