Can you imagine this. You are a singer who wants Starbucks to distribute your song Java Jitter. Starbucks won't. So what do you do? You go and shoot a video in Starbucks around the country for your song and then you get kicked out of over 200 of them. Then you put your video on youtube. LOL That is what this singer did.

He has been getting a lot of news media attention because of this!

Now can you imagine you wanted to land a job somewhere and did the same thing?

What's your take?

I love the creativity, but I always want to know what the end goal of something is.

So, what was this guy's purpose? I'm sure it will generate some great viral traffic, but if there's no plan to monetize the traffic it's a wasted opportunity.

That is a very good point and I thought about that yesterday. One of the things that came to mind is this. I felt it would be hilarious if Starbucks actually made commercials around this guy maybe saying he wouldn't take no for an answer and then they could say they are selling his cd at the store.

Could he sell his services to Starbucks and help them promote stores? Could he do more interviews to help position himself as being the guy who gets thrown out of Starbucks. Could he become a spokesperson for another product like Dunkin Donuts? Where he might say "Hi, you know me as the guy whos been thrown out of over 200 Starbucks, but I never once was thrown out of a Dunkin Donuts" and then he could play a song for them instead?

Beyond all that maybe he is just hoping to get some traction for his singing career.

What's your take.

Also Chestin, I did a plug for you in the latest GopherHaul 13. http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
