We can probably learn a lot from how Dixie Chopper promotes themselves.

Here they are having an open house. To attract attention, the public will be able to see the Dixie Chopper Motorcycle as well as their new Monster Truck! How cool is that?

Plus free food!

Have you ever thought of having an open house? What kinds of things could you do to attract attention?

Woods' Dixie Chopper open house May 18-19 (http://battlecreekenquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070514/LIFESTYLE08/705140304) - Imagine the world's fastest lawn mower, one of the world's coolest motorcycles and one of the most powerful trucks in the world under one roof ...

Mike Woods of Woods' Dixie Chopper in Tekonsha did.

But then Woods realized that hosting the Dixie Chopper/Orange County Choppers Motorcycle and the new Dixie Chopper Monster Truck alongside an inventory of 2007 Dixie Chopper lawn mowers might just blow the roof off his Tekonsha shop at 120 E. Canal St.

So to accommodate all the horsepower and visiting public, he has moved his annual open house to Quality Camping, located five miles north of Woods' Dixie Chopper at 5775 U.S. 27 South in Marshall.

The public is not only invited to check out those high-powered vehicles and Dixie Chopper mowers but to also join Woods for a power lunch of brats, hotdogs and all the trimmings.

But the real draw will be the Dixie Chopper motorcycle, a creation of the Teutul family of Orange County Choppers and "American Chopper" TV fame. The Dixie Chopper Bike features components of the world's fastest lawn mower fabricated into one of the world's coolest motorcycles.

Meanwhile, the Dixie Chopper Monster Truck showcases that sometimes bigger is better. It was built by Corae and Kyle Neff of Neff & Sons Lawn Service (http://www.neffandsons.com/index.html), Germantown, Ohio.
