Gerald is not only running for office, he is promoting his company as well. Notice his company name is mentioned in this news article. Also notice how he promotes his good deeds "donated landscaping materials for town hall improvements."

He has a wife, Barbara, and one child, Gregory, 16. The owner of Helmetta Lawn and Garden, Scotts Lawn Service-Middlesex County, and Ortho Perimeter Pest Control, Everest studied criminal justice at Union County College, received horticulture training at Rutgers University, and received computer training at the East Brunswick Vocational and Technical High School. A Vietnam veteran, Everest served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. and received an honorable discharge. He has served as an event organizer for the Make A Wish Foundation, and donated landscaping materials for town hall improvements.
