Have you ever tried to run a forum on your website or do you now?

Have you ever been a moderator on a forum?

If so, what have you found to be the hardest part of running it?

I have done it before. The hardest part was trying to keep everyone on topic or even trying to come up with new ideas that people can discuss

It's tough for me to see that because you always have new ideas and views on issues.

I have installed many a forum and have had a few myself. The thing about forums is that it takes time to build up the members. But all of a sudden everyone knows about you and you have too many members to control. Moderators do help with this issue. Some forums that I post to have more then 1000 posts per day. I wouldn't want to moderate that... http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

A good way to promote your forums or changes in your forums is performing a mass email to inform your members of the changes.

Hi ritchiem,

In the forums you like, what is it you like most about them?

What have you found you disliked?
