Congrats Rick! Looks like a good place to start from. NOW GET SOME SIGNS ON THAT TRUCK & TRAILER!
03-24-2008, 05:05 AM
I put greenview superior on the front window and I have vehicle graphics on the way. I just dont think I want to use them on the van because I wanna trade it in when i can. I also just put a sign on the ramp of the trailer today.

Can we see pics of the signs you installed to?

I am concerned about putting decals on my stuff also. When you trade it even though you can peal them off, the paint will still show where and even what it said. As I look at your outfit, have you considered puting decals on the side windows? You can get perforatted decals that allow you to see out but still have you message. (?)

yeah I am just gonna use magnetic signs on this vehicle but when I get a nice truck I will put the decals on
03-25-2008, 09:16 PM
Nice mower you got there Rick.... is that a residential one or commercial mower ?
03-26-2008, 02:20 PM
It is a RZT but I will get a commercial if it all works out and I make money from this.
Here is the sign on the trailer.

Depending on how long you have the vinyl graphics or digital prints on the truck/car it may not leave any noticable fading.
Most companys switch trucks about every 2-5 years...if you dont get trucks that are RED you will be fine for a few years (TX, FL, etc. will get it a little faster though).
Red is the worst color for fading.
Also if you remove it corectly this will limit fading too.
Also in some state you have to have it on your truck.
(like here in Michigan)
The window is a good idea, but it limits the area you have on the sides, and like i said above..in some states you have to have 3" tall "Name" "Phone #" "City/State".
Magnets are ok, but they are looked at as "temparary signage" in most states and by some customers.
As for the perferated window prints, they dont last nearly as long as truck graphics/lettering. They also make it harder to see out at night as well as in rain/snow events.

How did you attach the sign to the truck? Is that a piece of sheet metal? Did you use a couple of bolts to attach it?
03-26-2008, 03:17 PM
yeah it the same as metal yard signs...I drilled a hole in each corner and used the plastic covered copper ground wire off of a cable wire and twisted it around the mesh on the gate. I like that the is coated so it blends in.

It looks great! Nice job.

When you get a chance to use the cub, tell me how you like it. I think they look ok, but was wondering how they preformed.

I will say first off nice mower. I use to have a cub cadet rider and then started having motor problems. So I then up graded to a zero turn and bought SCAG. I have used Dixie Chopper and John Deere too but in my opinion SCAG is the only way to go.
Good luck with the season!

I used it today and I love it! I dont like how the blades shut off in reverse though.
04-14-2008, 08:46 PM
Isnt that a safety mechanism?
04-14-2008, 09:16 PM
That is for safety, but probably an unneeded thing. On my new riding lawn mower I have the same thing but it hat a button to override the the safety device. It is weird to use a 15+ year old snapper with NO safety features. Then go to something that turns off the blades when you reverse.
04-14-2008, 09:30 PM
yeah I dont think its needed....I tried to back up to get to a spot and cut and realized the blades shut off. I like the other safty features like if noone is in the seat it shuts off and if parking brake is on and you move the levers in it shuts off.
