Check out my new logo that Patrick made for me...if any one new needs a logo mad, Patrick is the man!
Tell me what you think, likes, dislikes, whatever
We're gonna see what it looks like to kinda out line the text so it stands out just a tad more against the background tree. Ans maybe the "LG" just a little bigger.
But I love it!

Luke it looks very nice and thanks to Patrick of http://www.blairprod.com for helping you with this!
Do you have a larger image we could see? That one is kinda small.

Oh I spoke too soon!
Nice work! Now what kind of signs are you getting? Where are you going to put them and how will you attach them?
01-12-2008, 05:32 PM
Well I was talking to Tony about and I think I'm gonna get magnetic signs for the truck.
I would like to have permanent ones that just "stick" on the truck, but since I dont own it yet I cant do that. LOL ( its my dads)
But for the actual sign itself, I think it may look good to just use the logo. What do you think? And once again, thank you so much!

Looks good, You know Luke, I lived in Laramie for a year, when I went to WyoTech like 6 years ago, I kinda liked it there, especially Fort Collins Colorado, and was only a little bit away. I actually missed my turn to go to Mount Rushmore and I ended up in Casper, LOL.

Luke don't sweat this stuff at all. If your dad's truck is the truck that hauls around your trailer, get magnetic signs and stick them on there when you are in use. I bet they will help you feel like a million bucks!
You will look great!
You can always get more signs later when you do get a truck.
Always make the best of what you got now and then make it better later as you go!

Wow ! Nice logo Luke. I'm really impressed with Patricks work. That one really stands out compared to the samples on his site.
Luke- I just won another free dinner at Denny's courtesy of one of my old business cards.

Thanks a lot guys!

Really? How long were you here? What did you do?
And also, I would like to give Patrick a big THANK YOU! He did a great job on my logo. I was very "picky" and got it just the way I wanted it! He was probably getting sick of me having him change every little thing. LOL
But like Steve said, visit his sight and let Patrick take care of all your graphic needs.

I was there for 10 months, and I went there for Auto Body & Paint, came home out of school and nobody wanted to pay me more than minimum wage and with a family i just couldn't financially make it. If anything well worth the experience of going somewhere I've never been before away from family. Nice vacation if anything.

Did it come embossed (i think thats the right word) so you can use it for shirts, signs, and whatever else?

LOL I actually don't know what that means? Yeah I think I'm going to be able to put it on shirts and make it my truck signs. But what does embossed mean?

Send him a email and ask him. He'll know what you mean.

Did you mean in vector format? So it can be scaled larger without losing image quality?
Like a pdf file ?

WHAT YOU'LL GET... You will recieve the design in multiple file formats, and multiple resolutions. If the logo is embossed (most below are) you will get a version that is non-embossed also, this is helpful if you want to get it made into vinyl. We will also give you a black and white version. This version is great if you want to include it on your invoices, envelopes, statements, etc.
All this for $50.00
Thats off of the planet graphics site.
Did you get this from Patrick?
01-13-2008, 05:33 PM
I'll send a message to Patrick to see what this is because I don't know http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

It is not necessary for it to be EPS for signs...these are full color prints.
Just a high quality TIFF or PDF (or PSD) will work great.
Send over what you have and i can tell you if you need something else.

Thanks for all the compliments on Luke's logo. I had fun going back and forth with him getting it just the way he wanted.
A few answers to some questions and comments...
I intend to change my Blair Productions site up a bit... the logos I have on there right now are pretty stock. What I usually do is modify one of those logos for the $50 price and just make it a little different. Luke's logo, however, was custom made. It did NOT come from a template. Anyway, what I was saying is that I'm going to take the logos I haveb done in the last 6 months or so and put them up on my site for the portfolio.
The "embossed" stuff on the website simply means is the logo "flat" looking, or does it stand out a bit. Printing an embossed image is fine if you're doing it large scale, but it would need to be a flatter image for smaller scale printing (I think, anyway) or for enbroidered shirts and hats.

You did a great job!

Oh so this is a more visual thing. You mean like using highlights and shadows to create an embossed look! Is that right?
01-14-2008, 04:03 PM
Exactly, Steve. It gives the graphics more of a raised look to them....

Yeah now I understand, too.
Is mine embossed? And once again, thanks you so much! You don't know how much i appreciate it!

Your logo is partially embossed (this means that certain elements of your logo is embossed, and other parts are not). If you need it "flattened", I can do that, but typically (and Tony from AMW can either agree or correct me on this) your printer, when supplied with a source file (such as a .psd copy) can tweak it as he needs to for printing.
....and it's no problem. I enjoyed doing your logo for you. http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
