yes she helps out with calling the customers for me. As if i am running late, sending out bills, late bills, and calling telling new customers quotes on the yards, and of when i am coming out. Also when we get a new call, she always ask of how they heard about us, due to different advertising ways. She gets mad at times cause i tell her to do this and do that, and i am like its part of the business, u have to be on top of it. Being on time and showing up is a big thing to customers, lol

At the end of the day we take the names and the checks/cash and look over them making sure everything is correct, writing all amounts made for that day and review everything that happened that day

At times she helps with me doing lawns

Does she enjoy taking part in the business? Does she find it to be a creative outlet? Does she come up with future ideas to experiment with?

Yea he's pretty cool. How do you like my daughters black hair, not so funny to me. She asked me if she could dye it brown(she was blonde) and when I saw it I honestly thought she had a wig on. I swear it's black, she swears she left the dye in to long. Supposedly it washes out. Anyway's I like your logo for your business. When did you start your business? Do you work by yourself?

I started my business about 2 years ago. I do 90% of the work myself (I like to keep it simple), but use a friend every once in a while when I need an extra hand. When I first started out, I was talking to a man who had been in the business for 20 years. I asked him for some advice and he told me to "just keep it simple". So I pretty much do just that. I offer other services such as tree falling, branch removal, french drain installs, install irrigation systems, etc. But it is all stuff I can usually do on my own.
You?

What's funny about that is everyone always wants to be different. If people in my family have blond hair, then I want black hair. If everyone had straight hair, I would want curly http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

We started out in the beginning of June. Brian does all the outside work and I do all the other stuff. It's kinda hard because he got called back to work as a full time carpenter like days after we started. His friend that rides to work with him everyday helps him cut. I had asked if I could put our youngest one in pre-school 3 days a week so maybe I could get out there a little bit.At first he said yes, now he is saying to wait. As you can see by our family photo I kinda got my hands full. I did go out and cut with him for the second time yesterday. It was fun.
Who nows what will happen. We would like to see this business grow and have Brian do it full time but the transition might be scary. How are you doing with it full time?
