Lee great job!

Have you contacted the local newspapers, or television stations yet? Here is an idea on how you could potential submit to them a press release.

What's your thoughts on this?

06-08-2007, 07:48 PM
I would think that the response would be negative from the female community on exploiting females, like the "hooters" syndrome "thats disrespectful to me" kinda deal....

Anyways, That would be awesome if it turns into a solid service for you! Get some college sweeties from the local college working for you!

Maybe take a collection of pictures make some calendars at wal-mart photo or online and send them out to customers!

Hey sex sells! Anyone who dosent know that is deaf dumb or blind!
I got a kick outta seing several post for "Naked house cleaning" on Craigslist here in charleston!
They are two college girls in thier 20's! How about that for service!

06-09-2007, 06:31 AM
You have a point about the Hooters sydrome but it is somewhat intresting that some women will get this for their fathers boyfreinds and husbands.
This is not a sex thing but it does sell. Plus the ladies that work it right now have a lot of fun watching people go by and watch them work. Some get slapped by wife and others almost wreck do to their turning heads. I only wish they would get the number and call. LOL

06-09-2007, 03:09 PM
Has there been a backlash against the Hooters restaurants? I haven't heard anything about that. I don't think we have any of them local to our area so I wouldn't hear much local news about it.

06-09-2007, 04:20 PM
WE have a local hooters in Charleston. What I am refering to as the "Hooters syndrome" depnds really on the company your around. When I was married, my wife "banned" me from such a place and told me that it is disrespectful for a married man to frequent such a sleezy place with boobs and butts hanging out.
Same goes for my mother and my Aunt, same attitude towards it. Nevermind that half the college girls in town have nothing on and its not something I havent seen before anywhere else, it just seems to be the idea of being served by woman that are flirtacious and wearing tight pants and push up bra's . lol
Anyways, its harmless and quite frankly I am a "free man" now that I am no longer married! Free to flaunt around with as many college co-eds as i choose! Free to begin building my dream of being the premier LCO in Charleston........

06-09-2007, 04:59 PM
Oh I see what you are saying.

It's all an experiment. Sometimes something like this can help propel your name and brand out to more people then you could normally reach. You could always discontinue the service if it was too much of a hassle.

But here we are talking about it, I am sure others in Lee's neighborhood will be talking too. That word of mouth buzz is invaluable.

06-10-2007, 07:28 AM
This is a fun thing that does draw a lot of attention. I am really hoping that I get a few calls for a fathers day bikini cut. I think that is where I will draw the most attention.

Word of mouth is the best advetizing that a company can get. Even if it is a little dicey.

06-10-2007, 05:10 PM
Lee have you gotten in touch with any of the newspapers yet? Or do you want to?

06-18-2007, 07:49 AM
I wanted to reply to this post earlier but I was having posting problems. As you can see they have been fixed. NO I am not sure I want the media coverage on this. It could be fun but I am just not sure of it.
I have been contacted by several for the service.

06-18-2007, 12:18 PM
Oh. Well keep us posted as you go to let us know how things go with this. I think it is a great business experiment.

07-03-2007, 06:18 AM
It Happened! Rock 103 called today and asked about the bikini cut. I was floored. They put me on live radio and talked about it and the cost and a lot of good marketing stuff came out. I am not sure as to how they found out but in a way I am glad they did. They would like to do a promo with me and My Tiger Time team.
I pray this is the start of something big and good for my business.
I will try to keep you informed.

07-03-2007, 12:17 PM
That is great news! You know, maybe you show do some kind of contest with them. Give away a bikini lawn care cut to a listener of the radio station. I bet they would love that!

07-04-2007, 05:38 AM
Yea that is the plan right now. We will give one away to a listener that can identify my rig.
Well another good thing happened the TV station affilated with the radio station is doing a news event with us Thursday Morning at 9:30. My team is getting pumped.
Ijust keep thinking that all this is to good to be true. I will take pictures and post them.

07-04-2007, 01:03 PM
I am looking forwards to this!

07-05-2007, 04:59 PM
Here is the events of the day. The Camera Crew has a great time along with our team. It will air tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM on Fox News 13 here in Memphis

I welcome any feedback.

07-05-2007, 06:08 PM
Lee that is awesome! Make sure you record it! Can you post that too?

Have you heard much feedback from all of this?

07-06-2007, 04:57 AM
We are going to take a late start to the work day today so that we can watch it and record it. If I can I will post it to the site.
I may need some advice on how to post the program to the site.
We have gotten some great responses to the radio time we got. I may have to hire some more people. A local contractor contacted me about his 100 plus homes. Things could relly be looking up. I know if I get the contract I will have to get more equipment.

07-06-2007, 01:53 PM
Lee, you are really blowing me away http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Great work! I look forwards to seeing your video. If you need help posting, let me know.

07-06-2007, 03:54 PM
Tom dees from Fox News call and said that the clip is being picked up nationally. GOod god What have I done.
Here is a link to the Memphis site that has it on there.

I'm not sure if you can get it off of their site or not but I have it recorded.

Just for the record Gopher Haul was first.

07-06-2007, 05:14 PM
OMG Lee that is awesome publicity!

Can you talk to them and see if you can get a copy of the video ? I bet they will send one to you or you could pick it up. You can't save it from their site.

Once you get that, you could put it on your site. You could have a press area on your site of all the press coverage you get.

Some more things you should consider. Get your truck painted now in the tiger design. Then get a local professional photographer to stage some photos with the girls and the mowers and your truck once painted. You could use those pictures for postcards, your website and posters that you could sell on your site or sell to the customer, for an additional fee when they sign up for your service.

You should do some other promos now too. Contact local businesses and have a promotion time set for the tiger time bikini girls to show up with the mowers and they could sign posters as giveaways. You could do this at sandwich shops, car dealerships, mower shops or other places that need to draw attention to themselves. You could charge a fee to be there with your staff. You could have them wear the tiger print bikinis too. Even if you have to hand make them.

This could get even bigger for you!

How about offering a service where they deliver flowers or even food?

Brainstorm and run with this idea!

07-11-2007, 05:31 AM
Here we go again. This just continues to blow my mind. TV 5 will be doing a story on us today at 14:00 local time.
I will let you know the results.
PS I have gotten 10 new clients as a result. Funny thing is 8 of them are women. LOL

07-11-2007, 05:47 AM
GO tiger

07-11-2007, 02:27 PM
That is great! What affiliate is TV 5? Is that CBS, NBC?

07-11-2007, 04:25 PM
i think tv5 is cbs thats really good that your getting all this

07-19-2007, 06:34 AM
Well it has taken off. I have had calls from all over the mid-south area. Some have been negative but most have been positive. We were on again last night with NBC channel 5. I had a call from a young lady wanting a job. LOL

Thanks Gopher you started this for me and the free advertising has been great and mostly positive.

The funny thing is most do nt want the bikini cut but weekly lawn service. It is great.

07-19-2007, 02:46 PM
ok tiger time may it to port charlotte fl on wsrz.com the morning crew 107.9

Barry's lawns n more

07-19-2007, 04:45 PM
Lee did you see this one? Channel 5 wmctv.

Showing skin gives new company boost in business (http://www.wmcstations.com/Global/story.asp?S=6808391&nav=menu59_1) - Showing skin is giving one start-up company a boost in business. Tiger Time Lawn Care has been on the books for only three months but their offer to cut lawns in bikinis is already catching on.

You might say they're loosening the Bible belt in this Mid-South neighborhood.

Ladies are cutting lawns wearing bikinis, showing their bodies and offering more attention to your lawn than it's ever seen.

"Oh yeah, they honk and yell. They can do everything you can imagine," said Blair Beckman.

21-year-old Beckman said cutting grass in her bikini beats her former jobs as a waitress and a clerk at family dollar.

"You get the attention but you also get a tan, which I need," said Beckman.

They call themselves Tiger Time Lawn Care and they'll send the shapely tigers in bikinis for a slightly higher fee than a normal grass cut.

07-19-2007, 05:15 PM
Yes, I saw it. It was fun to do. We got a call this morning from Good MOrning America. I am not sure what will happen with that one. National attention. I have a interview with a radio station in Kansas tommorrow morning and I got an email from Iowa to do another one. This is just unbeliveable.

07-19-2007, 05:21 PM
HAHAHAHHAHA. That's amazing! What did the people from Good Morning America have to say to you?

07-19-2007, 05:49 PM
they wanted to do an interview with me about marketing the bikini cut. I want you guys to know that I have mention you in every interview that I have done to date. It has gottn no air time but it is being said. It is so funny. I just keep being amazed at all of this.

07-19-2007, 05:50 PM
One more thing.
Thank you

07-19-2007, 05:50 PM
Well thank you so much!

With all of your experience now with the media, do you have any suggestions to other lawn care operators about interacting with the media? Any do's and don'ts you have picked up so far? Is there anything you would have done differently?

07-19-2007, 05:54 PM
Good Gravy yes,
I would like some time to think this all out and give a good lessons learned topic about the media. If you look at the two shows it was a bit different. Well I will go into that soon.

07-19-2007, 05:57 PM
I am looking forwards to that. Also, I found this outfit online. Maybe you could institute something like this too in the future. It's actually a costume, but it might give you some ideas.

07-19-2007, 06:11 PM
Hmmm Could be great to use on a day to day uniform. I just got my third call today from women wanting a job. LOL

07-19-2007, 06:18 PM
Maybe it's time to think about expanding ;) Franchise out the idea.

07-19-2007, 06:38 PM
Quote[/b] (Team Gopher @ July 19 2007,6:18)]Maybe it's time to think about expanding ;) Franchise out the idea.

07-19-2007, 08:34 PM
Well, first I think I would work on creating the brand. How would one define what Tiger Time Lawn Care is in a few sentences?
Then I would work on defining the system of what Tiger Time Lawn Care is and how it works. The owner's manual of the business.
Then when you have a brand and a duplicatable system in place you can find others that want to buy into the idea.

What's your view on this?

07-20-2007, 08:55 AM
I like it. I have had three radio interviews this morning. Iowa, Illinois and Arkansas. Every one asked me if I would do this very thing. I think I will work on it today and submit it to a lawyer for review. IOWA was more than intrested funny.
I would like to know from anyone that listened to any of the interviews what they thought?

07-20-2007, 11:21 AM

Lee how about that as an add on service too! Washing Cars! I bet you could double your money if you offered that service along with the lawn mowing!

Lee, I put together a new website template for you. Let me know if you want it and I will email it to you. Here is a screen cap.

07-23-2007, 06:06 AM
Yes please get it to me I need something better.
This has become crazy. I would have never in my life time imagined this getting this big. I have lawyers calling, marketing people calling. I have been doing up to 6 radio interviews a day all ove the place. CNN Radio is doing one today. Good Morning America has called and wants to do something possible this week.
What could possibly be next. Hey I like the car washing idea. Consider it done.
That could be a ton of fun.

07-23-2007, 11:01 AM
Lee I tried to email you the template. It got bounced back and said your email box was full! WOW you must be getting hammered with emails!

07-23-2007, 08:12 PM
Here Lee is in the Times of India

07-23-2007, 09:19 PM
We are scheduled to be on Fox and Friends in the morning. I am looking forward to doing this. Can be fun. Can anyone think of this happening. I could have never imagined.

07-23-2007, 09:26 PM
Is this going to be a phone interview or a satellite video interview? Also if you get a chance, check your email, last time I emailed you it said your box was full. WOW

07-24-2007, 04:45 AM
I think it will be live in studio. They wanted to come and pick me up and take me to the Memphis studio. I am getting ready right now and I have a phone interview with Boston Radio station to do in about 5 minutes. I will be on later this afternoon to find out what you thought.
I posted part of the new website thank you. I will finish it later.
I have cleaned up my email it is crazy the attention and emails I have gotten. Thank you guys.

07-24-2007, 06:42 AM
The website looks great!

I watched Fox and friends. I must have missed the part when you were on but I did catch them talking about you later and they said they had tons of emails coming in about your service. Then they said they were going to do a follow up in the near future. How was the whole experience of being on the show?

Also check out this post on business ideas for you.

And here is a logo idea for you as well.

07-25-2007, 06:17 AM
Good stuff. I have gotten so much attention from all over. I did a radio interview last night in New Zeland. WMC5 want to do a follow up tomorrow. I did over 28 radio interviews yesterday alone and I have had two this morning. But, I have to say that with all the attention what make this all special to me is my friend on this forum are the best. You have provided me with the ideas and extra assistance when I needed it the most. All of you here are just great people. I have talked about this site and where the ideas all started from to just about every radio station and TV spot that I have gotten.

All I can say is thank you.

07-25-2007, 04:52 PM
Don't forget about Scag. They have the Tiger Cub Zero Turn mowers. The decals are very similar to Gopher's renderings.

How about this as an idea: You can travel to Scag dealer locations with a couple of your tiger striped bikini-clad lovelies as promotional events. Have the girls show off the mowers to potential Scag purchasers. Make sure the girls are well versed with all the technical aspects of the mowers and that they can really sell the machine. Make Scag the official mower of Tiger Time and use only Scag equipment.

Our local radio stations do "remotes" where they travel to locations and do a day's worth of promotion. You can work hand-in-hand with the local media to make sure your client (the local Scag dealer) gets the most bang for his advertising dollar.

This idea can seriously keep you busy full time as there are Hundreds of Scag dealers and distributors around the country.

LOTS of business aspects to think about at this point.

Best of luck and congrats once again.

07-25-2007, 09:52 PM

That is a great idea. How would you suggest going about pulling this together? What are your suggestions? I wrote to their corporate HQ yesterday and hadn't heard anything so I am trying BadBoy now. What's your view?

OHHHHHH I just had a killer idea. Lee could potential have contests all over the country to have a free Bikini Lawn Mowing as a promotional tool for each store and as he travels around, he could mow the lawns and meet lawn care business owners at stores.

07-26-2007, 04:22 AM
I think that is a killer idea from both. I am going to get in touch with our dealer here today and see if we can set up a promotional for next week. I give the girls an education on the mowers and hope to make a differance.
I am at a poit that I need some advice and legal assistance. I have had two production companies contact me about a reality show documentary, and a TV show spot in Atlanta. I do not know if it will happen but I have appointments next week about it.
Does anyone know a good lawyer that will help me with this?

07-26-2007, 08:34 AM

Today I am taking a day off. I do not think I have to worry about becoming a millionaire or even coming close.
We have many bikini cuts lined up and we are all enjoying what has happend.
If I get a chance in the next couple of days I will sit down and write about what I have learned and teh mistakes to watch for. I am going to attempt to share what this has all been about for the Tiger Time Team.
WMCTC did a follow up story on Channel 5 here in Memphis and it was very good.
People here can not believe the attention that it has drawn to the city of Memphis.
Thank you so much for all the help that you all have given.

Here is a link to it http://www.wmctv.com/Global/story.asp?S=6852794/ (http://www.wmctv.com/)

I am very much looking forwards to this.

I noticed you changed your site a bit and there isn't much of an emphasis of bikinis on your front page. Do you have any thoughts on this?

OMG I watched the video http://www.wmctv.com/Global/story.asp?S=6852794 Did you see you were mentioned on Jay Leno! HAHAHAHAH

Here is an article from a British website called "The Spoof." It's written about Tiger Time Lawn Care, but keep in mind it's a parody.

Lawn Care Company Franchises Mowers in Bikinis Idea

The Spoof was funny. I like the play on everything. Heck selling the Franchises at that rate I would retire.

I have done that so many times across the world. It was something that I felt was way to important because of all the help you and the forum readers have given me. It's only a small way of saying thank you.

I like the bikini uniform idea over just the shorts and crop top...a tiger print bikini is perfect;)

Yes you are right sex sells but the perverts that go to hooters or the sex shop to see some one dance can't physically abduct or sexually assult someone. It is different when you are at someones home. I know what you are gonna say , There are other employees watching her!!! DUH!!! If they are watching her then the job is not being done!!! The other thing is WHY IS THE MAN NOT IN A BIKINI?? COME ON THE ONES THAT MOW THEIR LAWN ARE USUALLY MEN SO THE WOMEN ARE THE ONES THAT HIRE LAWNCARE. WE HAVE PEOPLE FLIRT WITH THE MEN ALL THE TIME!!! WOMEN WANT THAT FANTASY.
