How do you push yourself to grow? What inspires you? What do you compare your growth to? A business concept we have may help you with your business growth. We call this concept Gopher Ghosting.

What is Gopher Ghosting? The concept is simple and straight forward. Choose a competitor you wish your company were like. Make sure you choose a company that is much larger than yours. A company that you wish you could be the size of but you feel it is out of your immediate grasp. Remember the goal of this is to push yourself beyond your normal comfort zone. Determine their daily income by using your own calculations possibly based on the number of crews they have, the services they provide and the amount of customers they service. From that daily income, create a weekly, monthly and yearly amount. Then with these figures, compare your daily income to that goal. You can create a "ghost" % of how you compare to your ideal amount. Are you 10% of where you want to be? Why not do all you can to try and push that to 20%. You can now compete with yourself much better with these daily, weekly, and monthly goal comparisons.

To really push yourself consider figuring these calculations out and then posting in this thread what % of your daily goal you are at now, without telling us what that goal’s dollar value is. Then in a month follow up and tell us how your % has changed and potentially share with us what you did to improve.
If you have more thoughts on how to improve on this concept, please let us know.
