WAL-MART VS. THE MORONS (NOT A JOKE)

I found this on facebook, some of you may have seen this but i think it so true

I know lots of folks don't like Wal-Mart, but this is fascinating.

This is spot-on.

PLEASE, READ THIS TO THE END. IT IS VERY INTERESTING!!!

Wal-Mart vs. The Morons

1. Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart Every hour of every day.

2. This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!

3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St. Patrick's Day (March
17th) than Target sells all year.

4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target +Sears + Costco

K-Mart combined.

5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world's largest private
employer, and most speak English.

6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world.

7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and
keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years.

8. During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains sought
bankruptcy.

9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.

10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are
Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had five years ago.

11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur
at Wal-Mart stores. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5 Billion.)

12. 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of a Wal-Mart.
You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground
work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart
to fix the economy.

This should be read and understood by all Americans… Democrats,
Republicans, EVERYONE!!

To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature,
it is now official that the majority of you are corrupt morons:

a. The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 234
years to get it right and it is broke.

b. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to
get it right and it is broke.

c. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get
it right and it is broke.

d. War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it
right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to
"the poor" and they only want more.

e. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44
years to get it right and they are broke.

f. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get
it right and it is broke.

g. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our
dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of
$24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get
it right and it is an abysmal failure.

You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our
throats while overspending our tax dollars.

AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED
WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??

Folks, keep this circulating. It is very well stated. Maybe it will end
up in the e-mails of some of our "duly elected' (they never read anything)
and their staff will clue them in on how Americans feel.

AND

I know what's wrong. We have lost our minds to "Political Correctness"
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone please tell me what is wrong with all the people that
run this country!!!!!!

We're "broke" and can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless
etc. and the last months we have provided aid to Haiti, Chile, and Turkey and now
Pakistan ( the previous home of bin Laden). literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!

Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do
they get any breaks.

AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children
going to bed hungry, elderly going without needed medicines, and mentally ill
without treatment, etc.

Imagine if the GOVERNMENT gave U. S. the same support they give to
other countries. Sad isn't it?

*99% of the people receiving this message won't have the guts to forward this.

*I'm one of the 1% ** I Just Did

I personally buy as little as possible at Walmart as they are part of the problem with the united states budget. The problems with Walmart include.

Walmart will not open a store without a tax subsidy(so they do not pay state taxes for a number of years to create jobs)

Walmart has an entire division dedicated to helping companies export jobs to lower prices at Walmart.

Walmart has the highest percentage of any store of employees collecting public assistance. Even if you do not shop at Walmart you are helping pay the employees.

I personally shop at Kroger or a locally owned grocery store as they pay the employees a lot better and provide insurance for a lot of the local employees. As a business owner I feel I should spend my money where the employees make enough to spend money at local businesses.

WAL-MART VS. THE MORONS
There are two big problems with Wal-Mart. They are CHEAP
1. They make suppliers low bid so low they have to make things in China

2. Store workers can only work part time aka no benefits. 30hours X $8 = $240 FUN. What % of those workers do you think get some kind of Gov. ad foodstamps, housing, medicare.... So your taxes are paying part of Wal-marts payroll if a worker can't live off their pay.

Yes Wal-mart is bigger than Costco but Costco pays their works $13+ and still makes money. This model maybe better for everyone not just stock holders

sorry didn't mean to repeat what wandfsmall said was typing when he posted. But what he said is VERY true. Not every job should pay "one million dollars" but everyone needs a bed, food, & health care.

to play devils advocate, everything today is made in china and every company uses them.
most things labeled made in the USA is only packaged or assembled in the USA but it is made in china.

costco does pay a little better but they also charge every customer 50.00 a year just to walk in the door.
they are making 50 mil a year for every 1 million members they have before they sell one thing.

wally world does not have that safety net and their profits come from buying in mass quantities and selling it quickly.

i am sure there are some positions at walmart that are skilled enough and should be better paying but on a whole there is not much required in the brains department to work there and i have never seen anyone there bust their butts working there over the years.

there are a lot of things that are bi-products of corporate america that is not fair to the little people but there are a lot of good things that result from it as well.

being the largest employer they create a lot of tax revenue and even though the jobs are low paying and a lot of their workers get government assistance it still minimizes how much they take from the tax payers compared to if they had no job at all and were getting complete government diddy's.

even though most of what they sell is crap it is cheap crap and people with no money or on a budget need to have access to cheap crap.

walmart always makes the news and gets the bad rap as the evil empire from the liberal media but the fact of the matter there is far more instances of corporate greed and government giveaways going on and walmart is the least of our worries.
look at how much money a company like facebook made last year.
they paid no taxes at all and don't have a huge work force.

they get a free pass from the libs because the libs have the lock down on the social media and that is what buttered their bread for the last 7 years.

i am all for clamping down on everything. make everyone pay and make everyone work and the same goes for corporations.
i long for the day when i used to have a choice when i bought something in whether it was made in america or not.
i miss going to the local store that has all but got wiped out. but those days are gone and as long as we continue to allow the government to control every level of our society and regulate the living snot out of it, things will always be this way.

if you look at the whole shift of manufacturing world wide that left america through a timeline you can easily see that once the fed got involved in the late 60's to early seventies with over regulation and taxation on corporations it pushed them all away and made things what they are today.

i remember when i was a kid in the early 70's pollution was a big thing back in then and the era of industrialization took it's toll on america and there were actually people with the belief if we could move some of our toxic factories to other countries that it would clean ours up.
i was actually kind of comical that before recycling got going people actually thought the answer was just to move these things somewhere else.
they were under the belief that " we only need the products and we don't need what is associated with making them ".

it is funny how our government works.
only in america and our government could prohibit the manufacturing of compact Fl light bulbs in the USA because they contain mercury but yet mandate that every home and business in america use them.

they also spent millions on a study to create a manual that explains the procedure in what to do when one of these bulbs break and how to clean it up.

that's my rant, i feel better.

I think some how we got a little off topic (light bulbs?)
the thread is that the Gov. could learn a lot from Wal-mart and all I am saying is the Gov. needs help paying it's bills and Wal-mart needs help paying it's staff

i am fully aware i drifted off but i figured i would add a little chime in defense of wally world for no other reason then just for arguments sake.
plus anytime you talk about anything with this government it is really hard to stay on topic because there is so much wrong with it and everything is all intertwined like a daytime soap opera.

i agree the government could learn a lot from a walmart and i don't think walmarts issue with paying people has anything to do with affording it.
they are just operating under the laws that our inept politicians put in place.

walmart is successful because it is ran like a business and washington is not because it is ran by a bunch of lawyers.
lawyers are the worst businessman on the planet.

Have you EVER seen a poor lawyer?

lawyers are rich because they rob people to pay for their exuberant wages not because they are business savvy.

have you ever seen someone haggle a lawyer?

when your freedom is on the line you will spend all you got to remain free.
if your suing someone and win the lawyers will walk away more then you.

lawyers are the reason why it cost so much for insurance and why people file law suits and they have clearly proven that they can not run a country because historically the majority of all our law makers have been and are lawyers.

lawyers don't work under budgets and any type of legal counsel has a what ever it cost it cost approach.

i have worked for many lawyers and if it were not for their ability to make money as fast as they spend it they would be broke.

it is funny because if any one of us built up a huge landscape company our prices would actually go down because we do so much volume and have so much overhead we need to keep the work coming in and the better a lawyer gets the more money he charges and people are lining up for him to represent them.

it is funny how it works.

What ever happened to the Wal-Mart greeters? If you haven't had the chance to read about Sam Walton who created Wal-Mart, you really should. He was an amazing entrepreneur and his story would inspire you.

Since he has died, it seems that Wal-Mart has fall apart to the lowest common denominator and no one working there seems to give a sh*t about it.

Remember when they wore the blue vests that said how can I help you?

http://cranksmytractor.typepad.com/.a/6a01310fbc48d2970c0153911d34f1970b-320wi

Or when Sam used to lead the Wal-Mart cheer?

How did it go from this great business that filled a need to what it is today which seems to be something that is operated at a distance by an executive branch who seems to really have no skin in the game and is lacking a visible leader?

Are there lessons to be learned from this?

I have seen a poor lawyer, he told me an honest man can not make it in law. I wanted to be a lawyer until I talked to him.

The money wal-mart makes is not 100% profit.

6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world.

ExxonMobile and Royal Dutch Shell are both bigger in comparison of revenues
Can we get one of these messages for oil companies?

7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and
keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years.

Wal-mart was founded in 1962 and incorporated in 1969. that's a few more than 15 years.

12. 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of a Wal-Mart.
The closest wal-mart is 30 minutes from me.
And I live in the nation's capital. Washington D.C.

As of today, we consume less gasoline and oil that we ever have in the recent past. There are exponentially more hybrid and electric vehicles on the road that there ever have. In addition, the gasoline-only cars sold today consume far, far less gas than automakers in the 70s could have imagined. Cars today emit less than 1/20 of the emissions than a car from the 1960s.
In addition, we have more people riding motorcycles, scooters, etc than we ever have.
But it is still a problem.

Someone please tell me what is wrong with all the people that

I'll tell you what's wrong.
You know how you run a business? You get paid. First, you pay your expenses. Gas, materials, etc.
Second, you pay your employees. You pay Johnny and Bob.
Then you pay your taxes and other stuff.
THEN what's left, you take home and you put in the bank. That's yours. What's left is your profit.

You know how the government runs? The government gets paid.
First thing they do, pay themselves.
Second thing they do, try to get more money.

I agree that a company should be able to make as much money as they can make. However I do have a problem when the government gives tax abatement to companies that pay minimum wage for creating jobs. This allows them to pay less taxes then the local businesses that invest back into the community and when their employees make minimum wage a good number of them will qualify for public assistance causing more of a tax burden on everyone else.

My personal feelings is tax abatement for businesses and public domain for land to put a business on should be illegal, I did not get public assistance to build my business. And none of my employees are on public assistance. I already support walmart with my taxes I try to support other businesses with my wallet.

A lot of companies get tax breaks, how did you think companies like facebook and GE can make billions of dollars and not pay any taxes. Companies take more from the government doll then poor people do. You just do not see as much about it as BOTH partys do it.

just because they get tax breaks it does not mean they don't pay taxes.
a tax break is just a reduction in taxes and every american is entitled to them not just corporations and the more you make the more you get in the form of reductions.

walmart pays millions upon millions in payroll tax and anyone with a business knows that as the business owner you have to match whatever your employees pay.
they generate millions upon millions in sales tax revenue for every state they operate in.
they also pay millions in property taxes for each location that their buildings sit on.

they like any other corporation in america also pay the highest corporate tax rates in the world.

half of americans fall in the lowest tax bracket and then after they do their taxes and claim their deductions they end up paying practically nothing.

it may be on a smaller scale dollar wise per individual but multiply it by millions of people and the amount is not so meager.

if americans have a problem with what these people pay in taxes and don't like minimum wage then they better take it up with the government because they are the ones who made the rules and the corporations are only going by what the fed allows them to do.

most of this argument is misconceptions started by the liberals and lamestream media and we don't here as much about the corporations like facebook because the libs rely on them to push their agenda and they are the biggest offenders out there because they did not pay one dime in taxes and got 800 million handed to them by the fed which essentially boils down to the fed paid them to make billions.

GE was only brought up when we had a republican president but now that we have a democrat president and he made the ceo of GE one of his czars, not a peep.

either way this whole tax debate is a bunch of nonsense because our government brought in a record 2.7 trillion in tax revenue last year that was more money then we ever pulled in and that is with record unemployment and a dismal economy.

the fed needs to stop spending our money excessively on wasteful programs and help get people back to work which will result in even higher tax revenue with more of a surplus.

i am gonna stop here because i am getting too political and this topic gets my blood boiling.
