I'd figure with a little time working on residential properties, you will certainly be able to scale that up to commercial properties.
Keep track of the amount of time it takes you to perform lawn care services on the sizes of properties that you are working on. When you want to bid on larger properties you can break it down into sizes you are used to working on and that will help you estimate the time better.

There is tons and tons of info here on Gopher, and all the guys and girls on here are all nice and are all willing to give advise and Steve Low will help out and he has lots of ideas and I highly recomend if you want commercial accounts you got to get Steve's book How To Get Commercial Lawn Care And Snow Plow Customers (http://www.amazon.com/Commercial-Lawn-Care-Snow-Customers/dp/1468055186), I order the book and I am learning alot of things that I would have never even thought about.
And again all the people on here are soooooo nice and helpful..
Thanks Mike the Redneck
