I have a few questions for my fellow lco's here!!!

I bid a job to install #3 river rock for a family last week and they come back and want me to go ahead with the job.

First question I bid $75 a yard to install plus the rock what do you guys normally charge?

Second do you think the mulch calculator on here set to 1" will suffice for the rock vice the mulch?

Third when we lay the rock will it spread as easy as mulch as this will be my first rock job.

Thanks in advance!!!

That's a great question. I bet it would be pretty close, but I'd like to hear your view on it once you install it.

Third when we lay the rock will it spread as easy as mulch as this will be my first rock job.

It's going to be heavier and a little tougher to move because of it.

Let us know how this job goes and take some pictures. I'd love to hear your view on this job afterwards.

Here 1 yard of mulch is 20 bucks, it covers a 10 x 10 square 4 inches thick. ! yard of rock costs 95 and covers the same aquare footage 2 inches thick. I charge 75 per yard for mulch and 175 a yard for rock. It's heavy, hard to move, hard to spread. BTW a yard of rock weighs about 2200 lbs. Mulch about 600 lbs
