And in an industry that experiences high turnover, that's impossible without employees who like their job, a local lawn care company manager said.

"It's all about keeping your accounts and keeping people happy," said Jason Eubanks of the six-year-old Tru-Cut Lawn and Landscaping of Fernandina Beach. "That's the bottom line. Take good care of your help and they treat your equipment like it's their own. It's good when everybody's happy."

Thats very true I pay my employees well and keep them happy. And because of this in return they produce great work are awesome with the customers and have respect for me. My uniforms are even made to keep them cool and comfortable. It makes for a productive and friendly work environment.

How do you feel your pay compares with the competitors you have in your area?

Since I'm still just starting out I dont have any employee's....but I know of another local lco in town that pays his 3 employees 16.00 to 20.00 per hr. Thats almost double what everyone else around here!
