View Full Version : new logo design

01-28-2004, 02:03 PM
I am looking for a new logo.Current logo in use can't be uploaded, so I can't show you.It is a side view of a fist with a green thumb hitting IMPACT and slightly collapsing the letters to the right. The problem is it does not look well on cards and letterhead, etc. I am looking for a nice clean look, professional looking, and brand recognizable logo.We are getting ready to start our marketing for 04, so this will be on everything..EVERYTHING.I have seen some stock logos I liked: Xray 185, 225,399
Tiger 92
I like the green/black/yellow themes
I like yellow/maroon/black
Or whatever you can offer in the way of suggestions for color. This will be used for newspaper ads and yellow page ads too.I would like one version of the logo to read "Impact Landscaping" only, to use on all other invoices, letterheads, etc. ,and one version with the phone number worked in as well.I am open to all suggestions and ideas. We are a landscape/maintenance/hydroseed contractor. We offer mowing, design, installation, hydroseeding, snow plowing, leaf removal, etc. to name a few key services. You all do great work and I am anxious to see some of your ideas.

Good luck.

xray-can i see 477 with a yellow orange background? And "landscaping" in the same color?I'm liking the concept of this one.Can I see some of #185 as well? Also, can the trailing end of the "p" be cleaned out of the "d" in "landscaping"? Looking good, keep 'em coming

Xray-Can you change the color of "landscaping" on # 485 to show up better? I want to print it out in B&W to see what it will look like B&W newsprint. Also, can you change the "landscaping"font on 483 to the one used on 482, and outline the tree in black as well like 482?

MGZ- Could you try changing the color of the stripes on 020 to yellow or an orange-ish color variation?

I am liking the ideas here, keep them coming. Thanks for your hard work...<img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_12_3.gif' ('http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008') border=0>Sweet!..

Here's MGZ_020 with that color change. I also put up a straight Black and White and grayscale version for you to see how it translates. I'll put some fresh ideas up a bit later.

xray-On # 502, could you move the"p" in impact up a little / move"landscaping" up to close the gap a little more?If the letters run together like in #477, can you clean out the trailing end of the "p" out of the "d" in landscaping, but still kepp it separate?

mgz-can you change the font for Impact in #022 to more of a style like in xray 481? Also, can you change the tree out with the one in mgz 019?I want to see a little different variation with this design. In b&w, it looks like a nuke going off , want to see if the tree change makes a difference.

Thanks guys, we are really close to deciding. I was also wondering about a flyer design from the winner as well.Let me know how that works time / money wise. Great work!!

02-04-2004, 02:29 PM
Wow!, you are totally right about that "nuke" thing...not good.
Changing out that tree seems to help...let me know what you think.

Team gopher can talk to you about flyer pricing and so on.

I like the looks of it a lot better now, Matt, but is there any way to move the black outline inside the tree to the outside edge of the tree? Also,I am waiting to see xray's final submissions on the requested images before closing the contest(I think this is supposed to be over today or yesterday)

02-04-2004, 04:51 PM

And the winner is.......MGZ 029.Thanks, Matt. It was a tough decision as both final submissions from MGZ and Xray were both great designs.I got more iinput here in a week than my ex designer took 3 weeks to do solo.We appreciate the time put forth by all artists who contributed to this forum. Thanks again, and Matt, send me an email to set up formats, etc. and delivery options.
I will refer as many fellow LMO's and LCO's to your site as possible!!Gopher rocks!
