I don't remember my name, my tag says 07382-55, if that's any bit of use to whoever is reading this...

I had only woken up from cryosleep approximately 4 hours ago. The main power to the ship has gone out so I am relying on a manual powered generator to run simple electronics. I have a long while before I can run diagnostics. I'd really like to figure out what happened here. Our escape pods have already launched, so we must have been hit by something pretty big.

I seem to be the only survivor on board, my crew is... well they are all dead. It looks as though they died peacefully in their sleep. … I don't even remember any of their faces...

A log, May 17th, 2018, states that we were on route for a delivery mission. This doesn't make any sense, we don't seem to have any cargo on board other than a lousy lawn mower...

I will do my best to set a route for Earth, but I am doubt I will survive long enough to see it. The ships air supply seems to be in tact, but my food rations are limited. I give myself a couple of months...

Hey you,
Out there in the cold,
digging all that snow,
Can you feel me?
Hey you,
Standing in the snow,
With itchy feet and fading smile,
Can you feel me?
Hey you,
Don't help them make a snowman.
Don't give in without a fight.

Hey you,
Out there on your own,
Sitting naked by the phone,
Would you make me a scone?
Hey you,
With your ear against the wall,
Waiting for someone to call out,
Would you not shout?
Hey you,
Would you help me to carry the snow?
Open your heater, I'm coming home.

But it was only fantasy.
The snow was too deep, as you can see.
No matter how he tried he could not dig free.
And the snow flakes ate into his brain.

Hey you,
Out there on the road,
Never doing what you're told,
Can you help me?
Hey you,
Out there beyond the snow,
Breaking shovels in the night,
Can you help me?
Hey you,
Don't tell me there's no snow at all.
Together we stand, divided we fall.

Where was that from or did you have all that going on in your head at the time you wrote it.

It sounds like the beginning of a cool science fiction movie.

It's week 7, from the day I had woken up. I have been eating smaller portions out of my limited food supply, and I feel myself becoming weaker. The temperature of the ship has decreased significantly, I can now see my own breath. Lighting a fire has grown to be a temptation, but I cannot risk my air supply.

I was able to get the main power to the ship working again, it's nice to finally see the place lit up for once. I had relocated the corpses of my crew to the storage area of the ship. I don't have the heart to open the hatch, and have them float out into space to be forgotten forever.

I do have some good news. The diagnostic results have given me the coordinates of where the ship had last taken damage, and I have been on course for some time now. If my memory serves me right, I should be seeing my home planet sometime this week, if it's still there.

Pandorum? The movie where everybody was put into cryogenic stasis, and woke up 900 years later to find others had evolved? Dude.

That sounds terrifying. I must watch.

Is it like Aliens? <3

It has Dennis Quaid in it, so now I know it's good. Ever see "Flight of the Phoenix" ????? Awesome movie!

From my favorite space show.

Its cold outside, there's no kind of atmosphere,
I'm all alone, more or less.
Let me fly, far away from here,
Fun, fun, fun, In the sun, sun, sun.

I want to lie, shipwrecked and comatose,
Drinking fresh, mango juice,
Goldfish shoals, nibbling at my toes,
Fun, fun, fun, In the sun, sun, sun,
Fun, fun, fun, In the sun, sun, sun.

I'll pack my bags and head into hyperspace
Where I'll succeed at time-warp speed
Spend my days in ultraviolet rays
Fun, fun, fun, In the sun, sun, sun.

We'll lock on course straight through the universe
You and me and the galaxy
Reach the stage where hyper-drive's engaged
Fun, fun, fun, In the sun, sun, sun,
Fun, fun, fun, In the sun, sun, sun.

Pandorum was a different kind of movie. It was good but freaky. It wasn't your normal space sci/fi movie.
