It's always nice to read stories how a simple beginning leads to a big business. Read how Lucy & Mike got started and you will see you can make your business a success too.
Growing Forever Green Garden, landscaping center celebrates 25 years (http://www.press-citizen.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070621/NEWS01/706210328/1079) - When Lucy Hershberger, 46, and her husband Mike, 47, started Forever Green, a garden and landscaping business, they only had a pickup truck and some hand tools.
Mike had just been laid off, and he started mowing lawns and trimming hedges to make money. Lucy was a pre-business major at the University of Iowa.
Lucy Hershberger said it was a humble start. Now, 25 years later, she said she can look back at all the stepping stones that turned a lawn-mowing business into a thriving landscaping, nursery and garden center at 125 Forevergreen Road in Coralville. The business is celebrating its silver anniversary all throughout June.
