I like it!

You could try cleaning up the picture a bit with a little editing. Like the rusty colored dirt on the steps. Maybe darken the color of the earth to give it a nice natural/lush contrast.

Send me the pic and I'll see what I can do if you'd like!

Also, there is text I see; "Let us take care of all your lawn care needs
So you can do the things you enjoy on the week-"

Weekend?

where can I get the program that made this flyer?

I used Microsoft Publisher 2003 for this flyer. It is part of the Microsoft Office 2003 package. I used excel to do some of the shapes. I found it easy to make say a star and copy & paste it in to the project. I probably could find it in publisher but did not take the time to look. It printed very crisp on my printer as well.

How are these lawn care flyers differing from what you might have put out last year?

Do you feel you learned any lessons from last year's marketing experience?

Just a quick question. What do you do when a client calls you that gathered all of his neighbors flyers and wants $2500 worth of work done and presents you with (8) 10% off coupons.

That being said, I would definitely add some stipulations at the bottom, expiration dates, one per house hold, maybe create a max amount, no combining etc.

I would be very nervous distributing those coupons.

That's a good thought on the disclaimer, I have more work to do. Historically, I have not gotten back hardly any coupons, but business still comes with the advertising. One thing I need to do is be more persistent with handing out the flyers this year. I slacked on that last year, just to see if it would be a difference in calls.

Something else to consider is if no one is using the coupons, could the space be better used to promote more services or new installs?

They look nice. How will you test them? Are you going to split your market in half and give one group one flyer and the other group the other to see which brings you more calls?

I want to hand them out to the neighborhoods I currently service a customer in. The goal is to get a more compact route this year. I will be making postcards service specific, like a mulch install, driveway edging, bush trimming etc to send to entire neighborhoods we are already in. The plan will be to go door to door with a different flyer each month.

Oh you will have to keep us posted on how all that goes!

Also another thing to consider is, one of our members created different postcards for different services and would drop them off at homes if he saw they were in need of that specific service. So keep your eyes on the look out for different services you could offer. Maybe even things like stump grinding too? Or what ever else you see that could get you into the front door and then offer more services to that customer later.

That's an excellent thought. We did not do that nearly enough last season but will be this year.

What kind of postcards will you be putting together? How many different types do you think you will use?

It will be neat seeing which ones are used and which ones aren't. They all look very nice. With all of your marketing experimentation, it's going to be a good year for you!

I just ordered postcards from staples. 500 for $19.99 shipped FREE they are color on one side and black&white on other. I made two different orders two flyers. One to give out as soon as i get them (has a early bird coupon). Then the next in the spring/late winter. i made the fryer in word then uploaded it for free. The small order size is great to change it up here is a link
