What is your goal with the facebook page? Have you seen any other lawn care businesses utilize facebook in a way you would like to?

Steve,
I thought maybe i could get a few jobs from the facebook page considering that everyone i know has a hundred friends or more, and then their friends have friends and it keeps going. They way its a free advirtisement.

For those of you who have experimented with Facebook for marketing, what's your view on it's effectiveness?

I have the Official Commercial Huskey Lawn Equipment maker's facebook page listed on our friends listed as we are blessed to be actually on their top friends list!
I only have 8 users and would ask anyone to Like it. We normally offer tips randomly of Landscaping. Once we finally open we will do it everyday.

Since the grounds crew is the only one I seen with a big following. I have to ask, has it lead to any work? I kinda gave up on mine a while ago.

What's your view on why you gave up on yours? Do you feel even having a basic page helped with SEO or no?

It might help seo but I would bet FB has nofollow links.
Well I did a few FB specials and never had anyone take advantage of it. I also never had a customer tell me they found me on FB. So the exposure is minimal to me. I do update it every once in a while but not even weekly anymore.
