Winterizing Arborvitae

I have wrapped smaller shrubbery in the past, but I have a customer that wants his 10 footers wrapped this winter since he lost almost the whole top third of most of his Arborvitae during last winter. I was wondering what everyone else charges, or if there is a simpler way to do this other than burlap. I was thinking of netting or maybe just a few strands of strategically placed rope. What are everyone else’s thoughts? I am tempted just to tell him that I will come out after each storm and bang the snow off the shrubbery just because it might be easier.

I think this came up last year when a member of the forum was looking for an easier way to do this. But it seems that burlap was the way to go.

If you are able to do it, try an anti-dessicant spray. But if you don't wrap and just decide to spray, the other problem with arborvitae is deer love to eat on them during the winter months.
