One of our forum members Ricky (rickstac) of lonestaryard.com runs a lawn care operation and a retail branch.
Ricky what advice would you have for lcos who want to open their own retail operations?
What are the benefits or pitfalls of doing this?
Could you share with us some pictures of your retail operation?

Thanks again for the banner.... in response to your post.... A retail outlet takes ALOT of hard work and ALOT of startup cash... we are in our 4th year of retail and just now beginning to see a good profit... It's worked great in conjunction with our landscape install and maintenence business.... traffic in the store are great leads for lawn care business and we can give discounts in the store to our maintenence customers... My wife is my partner and she runs the retail side while I take care of outside... She has 5 emplyees in peek season and I have 10 to 14 in peek season.

Thanks for responding!
Have you run into any surprises with your retail operation? How did you handle them?
