I bet your local paper would run an article about you to if you sent them a press release. That could help your sales with the sprinkler buddies as well as promote your lawn care business locally.

Also, maybe you could give some kind of presentation or assembly at a local school about inventing and inspire the kids to invent something themselves.

That could make for a great photo op too!
