Any of you clean off parking lots? We have been working on one but we run into problems blowing due to cars in the parking lot, or the dust blowing in the street along side the building. The other issue is we fight the wind and seem to not be able to blow and clean up? Is there a stong back pack vac or something of this sort that would not be huge and cost a lot of money to help us keep from such a mess on others?

Try to blow everything in a pile by blowing with the wind

Yea, it has never been this windy is South Texas. I've been fighting the wind like crazy. I bought a Stihl 550 Blower the other day Shark. Works great! Hope your business is doing well.

There have been a few lawn care companies on here that offered that service.

Let me know if any of this helps you.

Parking lot cleanups with your mowing bids (http://lawnchat.com/?p=195).

Commercial parking lot clean up bid (http://gopherforum.com/showthread.php?t=7099&page=4).

Parking lot sweeping (http://www.gopherforum.com/showthread.php?t=7858).

Thank you Matt. My full time job we carry Stihl so I get a good price on what I need. I have one backpack blower and would like to get one more soon.

Business has been a blessing. I just won a city bid for a year contract! Also this parking lot bid along with my others. Thank you for the information and hope you are doing well too.

Thank you Steve I did a "search" before I posted and found nothing on this subject. Guess one of these days I will learn how to run through this webpage. Thanks again!

not much you can do in the wind, but do what you can. I got a commercial property that involves parking lot cleaning and I did it after hours with a BP blower and used a power broom for the edges. It has been windy here as well and just dealing with it.
Bid on one commercial property the had listed in the work scope that if the landscape contractor got grass clippings or whatever on any vehicle, there would be a $100.00 per each vehicle.

How did that effect you bidding on the job?
