I would like a logo for my lawn care business. What I'd like is A Touch of Grass at the bottom in alternating dark and light green letters with tha same colors used in vertical stripes on top of the letters that taper off into the horizon in a 3 demensional effect. Lawn Care With A Personal Touch would need to go under the company name The logo would be used for letterhead, vehicle (Dark Blue), business cards and a web site. Thanks

Ok, now we.re off and running.

Xray: I like the colors, the verticle bars need to touch so it looks like grass stripes, I like the block letters, I'd like the slogan to have a more easier to read script font.

Odesigns: I like the colors as well, drop the " " off of the company name and use a block font. I like the font for the slogan, leave the "". I don't care for the stripes coming to a point.

Can you put a house and a pine tree into the "stripped lawn" somewhere along with a setting sun.

Odesigns,
Lets keep the sun solid yellow instead of gradient, can you move the house deeper into the grass ,possibly make it larger and partly overlapping the sun. I'm happy with the lettering, lets try coloring the letters all one color same as the dark stripes. It's looking good. If I figure right I'm looking at 4 colors plus white.

Xray,

Looks good, I like the outlined letters, Try making all of the lettering for the company name the dark green color. Keep the stripes a solid color instead of gradient. The last logo that Odesigns posted is the direction I'm headed. Try to work in the tree, house and the setting sun. Thanx

We're real close here! These are looking great.

Odesigns: Reduce the size of the house so it fits inside the boundary of the sun and try a different example of the pine tree.

Xray: Round the sun more and get it off of the roof of the house.

Odesigns,
Are the yellow strips between the green stripes and at the bottom going to disappear on the finished product? It looks like all that I requested, do you have any suggestions or ideas that you may know about graphic design and advertising that may help me. I plan on using this logo on magnetic signs, business cards, stationary and invoices. I am going to wait and see what Xray comes up with and make a decision.

The green coming off the letters is part of that font. I can get rid of them if you want. The yellow is part of the sun do you want me to get rid of that?

Do you already have a printer? Gopher prints magnetic signs. I print bus.cards, stationary and invoices but it might be cheaper for you to get it printed in your area, after shipping.

I took the yellow out between the green stripes. And the stripes stay within the sun now. Is that ok? Or would you rather them come out like the last one?

Odesigns,
I like that much better, go ahead and get rid of the green lines on the font. Looks great! Easy to read and colorful. I'll make a decision once Xray finishes his design. I used a printing company when I had my business cards made up, but they were "generic" cards and on special. After I pick a logo, I'll look into pricing signs and cards ect. With your design I'm looking at 4 colors on a white background with 2 pieces of "clip art".

Odesigns,
It looks finished to me, unless you want to try some different variations.

Xray,
Stretch the sun to the back edge of the stripes.

It's was a tough decision and after seeking the opinion of a several people, I'm going to choose Xray #418.

Odesigns, I appreciate all the work and effort you put into your designs.

Xray, Can you make a separate "banner" in the same color and font as the company name stateing, Call 887-2223 or 492-4017. I will need the all file types that are required by professional printers in the highest resolution.

Xray,
The logo would go on the door of my truck and I plan on putting the phone numbers along the bed of the truck.

What size would you like the phone number banner for your number?

Firefighter698

I was under the impression that it would be file that could be enlarged to whatever size I needed when I took it to a sign maker. The numbers would need to be aprox. 3 or 4 in. high. Is this something a sign printer could match up for me without providing a file?

Hi Firefighter698,

You are correct. The image will be in vector format that will allow you to resize it.

If you need magnetic signs for this, let me know.

Xray,
Ok, everything looks fine, you did a great job. I sent Team Gopher a private message inquiring on the costs of magnetic signs, no response yet. How do I receive my files?

Hi Firefighter698,

For some reason I don't have your PM in my inbox. I am sorry about that. What size magnet signs do you need? Either post it here or send me a PM.

I will have the final images sent to you.

The logo is taller that it is wide so I guess it would need to be approx. 24" x 24" phone number sign would need to be approx 4"x24". Is the background of the material white or am I charged for that color also?

Steve

Hi Firefighter698,

They are printed with a 4 color process so you can do whatever you want with the color and it's the same price.

Let me know what you need.

Can I get the "phone number" file also. What program do I need to view and enlarge the ".ai" files. When I enlarge the .gif file it gets fuzzy.

Xray

The phone number design is in the ai file. That's an Adobe Illustrator file. It's vector based to allow for scaling. What size do you need your *.gif in and I will post that for you.

The same size that you posted on here will be fine. Thank you Xray for all of your time and effort, I'm really pleased with the logo.
