Sure is nice. I did a few clean ups last week, and have 3 this week. Probably wont start cutting for another 2 weeks. Grass is just starting to grow now!

One mow and two cleanups last week.

Mowed my own today first time.

Two cleanups later this week.

Zero response to my Craigslist ad over 10 days.
Doesn't anyone know it's green outside?

i bet its hard where you guys are at but the advantage you guys have is that you guys can charge for leaf clean up and here in Cali thats already included in the service, we don't get that many leafs but still.

Don't feel bad Edward36, I'm starting out in the red, and I haven't even broken anything.

Did a clean up today. Was supposed to clean the muck/leaves out of a small fountain/pond, then clean up any leaves around the house, and cut some small stumps/scraggly trees off close to the ground. No hauling of debris was required, as the area behind the home is wooded, and I could just blow the leaves back there.

The homeowner ended up cleaning out 99% of the pond himself, so that saved me some time, but I couldn't justify sticking to my $100 quote if I didn't do everything I quoted, so I paid extra attention to everything else and took my time. (I had no other jobs today, so it didn't matter how long I took)

They seemed pleased. After I had cut a 16" tree "stump" (it was more like a 4' tall stump) I went and made another cut through it to "level it off". I said "I didn't like the way that looked, so I had to level it for you". They both chuckled and I told them that my wife says I'll never make any money because I spend too much time on the "details". "Yes, we noticed that as we watched you working".
:) Always good to impress the clients. Even if you spend too much time on a job, it may lead to other jobs.
Which reminds me - their daughter stopped by and asked if I was interested in mowing her lawn.
:) :)

One more clean up job tomorrow.
