The magnetic truck signs I have (with professionally designed logo) are a great advertising tool! While mowing a lawn yesterday, a guy stopped my wife and asked us to go down the block and call him with a bid. We did so and now have another regular customer!

Look is everything-he said he stopped because we look reputable-uniform shirts/hats, nice truck with signs, nice trailer with racks (after all, I won best truck and trailer-LOL!). AND he said he stopped because he saw my wife mowing and likes to support women in business. I think he was hitting on her, but whatever-it worked!

Not to mention when I mow my own lawn, I park my full truck and trailer out front just like I'm a lawn care company working on my lawn. I've gotten a customer that way too.

That is fantastic!

As you see yourself getting more customers this way, do you have any future plans on improving your public image, either with your truck, trailer, uniform or any other marketing?

Not at the moment other than facebook I have up and running, but since April started I am just trying to keep it manageable right now i have been very busy which is good.

How have you found facebook to work as a marketing tool for you? Do you have any suggestions for others when it comes to marketing through facebook?

I give good advice on facebook on how to take care of your lawn this could be a gamble, but my friends and family are on there and they see that and tell other people about my company and word gets out.

Has anyone tried to upload your own logo on vista print I tried mine and it said resolution was to low. I was bummed because I actually like the shirt I made but I was afraid It would come out blurry and I didn't want to chance it

What program did you use to design the logo? Are you using images downloaded from internet? Can you upload the final image your are using for that?

For best results, you should set the output resolution at 300dpi (best for printing purposes). TIP: Save the file as .pfd works much better @ Vistaprint..

If I only know how to spell guarantee! Dickies makes a nice canvas gean and short sleave shirt that I use. Professionalism is important. They state a life time guarantee and am about to test them with a belt loop that broke. I'll keep you all informed.:)

thanks for the info we made the logo at logomaker.com and paid for the rights to that logo. The resolution works good on some things through vista print. I will set the resolution at 300 it told me it was under on the site I tried a while ago on the iron on t shirt transfers that you can print off your computer and it came out all right iron was not hot enough to melt it into the fabric of the shirt though.

I did try Queensboro to me the editing on there site was a little harder to navigate and if I remember right at the time there was a minimum purchase there price per shirt was better than vista but I didn't need that many. Especially if it came out blurry. I actually talked to a person from Queensboro and told them of the issue I had and tried to see if I could get a sample shirt with my logo and they where set on the minimum.

The good thing with vista is I can buy one for cheap and check it out before you buy more it would just be nice for an actual person to call you and say hey this isn't working or ok this came out ok do you want to buy more than one so you don't pay for so much shipping trying it out first
