View Full Version : New Logo Contest

OK folks let's see what you can do. I am attaching my current logo as a word doc. The services may, but do not have to be incorporated into the new one. Please take it and see how you can jazz it up. It will be used on everything from truck lettering (white trucks), to business cards, clothing, invoices, and letterhead, and door hangers.
From the logos that have been created here, I lean towards the following: Tiger #'s 161 and 202. Turk #2 and especially Blackwater #'s 2 and 3. I would like to see grass incorporated, so any objects such as trees or leaves should be changed to grass. Like I said, I really like the Blackwater one's but I need it unique enough that I'm not just copying his. Thanks and good luck.

Tiger, I like #409,411,and 412. Could you replace trees and leaf with grass? Could you also include incorporate phone number or show how you would do phone number with logo seperate on truck?

Something else I was thinking since I will want my services listed on trucks, so as to keep the Logo seperate and clean can you come up with a seperate box that includes my services and phone number? Maybe white lettering on green/black background? Will be put on extended cab Chevy trucks with the logo on doors and other info on the extended portion.

XRAY, Could I see #236 with some different fonts for the business name? Tiger, how about 412 with a black background and white lettering?
12-22-2003, 08:38 AM
Sorry Xray, those are good but not really what I'm looking for. *I'm still leaning towards something like Tiger's #409 and 412 but I'm waiting for the requested changes to them. *Also, has anyone tried to modify my existing logo any, maybe incorporating some grass into it? *The current fonts are FORTE for the EASY and BrushscriptD for the rest. BTW Xray, so far I like your #241 if you want to play around with that one.

Tiger, I like both 412 and 419. I still need my phone number and services listed somewhere. How about an extension on the bottom of the logo for phone number and a seperate box for services. Also could list phone number in the services box. Could I see how it would all look on white extended cab Chevy (logo on door, services on extended cab area)? One last thing, only concern is with the readability of "lawn care" (mostly just the w). Do you have a similar cool font that is a little more readable? We are almost there.

http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Tiger, I think my final choice will be #427. The only thing is I see seperate applications for a background fill color of black as well as white. Can you send me both? I will need them in as many formats as possible including vector. I currently only have Adobe Photoshop but if I get Illustrator will this let me play around with the logo in vector format if needed ? One last thing, have you looked at my door hanger request? I posted one last week and have gotten no responses on it. Thanks for your work.:D

Tiger and team gopher, thank you, I got the logo. However, i needed the font for "lawn care" on #412 (white background) to be the same as on #427 (black background), it was a concern and is more readable. Could you resend in the same formats? Hope you all had a good Christmas.

Tiger, those last two are the ones. I already have the black background one. Could you send the white background version in .gif and .ai? I like the font for "lawn care" in those. Thanks for the help. What's the info on the websites? I would like to have one but afraid for my size business it would be prohibitavely expensive.

Did you see our new web template here?
Let us know what you think of it.

Tiger, did not receive the white logo with the final font on "lawn care" (like in your last post). Also ,did not see the official notification on here but you were the winner. I know it looks alot like Blackwater's but we are far enough apart geographically that it shouldn't be a conflict and the design really caught my eye. Great job.
Gopher, like the concept of the website. Could you post a thread with the particulars (cost, the steps customers would have to go through to logon, security etc.)?

Thanks! I will get the other one to you.

It's sent Tiger.
Turfsurfer, we will be working on a website this week for Avery Landscaping. You can see how his turns out to get an idea of how you may like yours.

Team Gopher, will be looking forward to checking it out. I don't know how interactive you will make the sites. All I'm really looking to do is have a site where potential clients can log on and see what my services have to offer. More of a showcase for my company and not an interactive thing where they access their account info.

Did you see this new template (http://www.gophergraphics.com/templates/01/)?
01-16-2004, 08:03 PM
Tiger, sorry haven't been to this site in awhile. I like the template. How do potential customers access the site? I'm not talking about the login, just the web page. Is there a size limit to the different sections for describing services and so on? What's the cost to me? Looks good, not too fancy but maybe a good way to draw potential customers.
