I have just started my business and am havinf a hard time finding insurance. Most places are telling me you need 2 years as a business. I was wondering who some of you just starting are using.

I didn't run across that issue either.
Most places I contacted did ask how long I've been doing this sort of work (even counting experience before starting up), not one of them told me I couldn't be covered because I wasn't in business for two years - even Allstate. (Although Allstate's quote was through a subcontracted carrier)
I ended up using Erie. I believe my policy is written by another carrier, with "Erie enhancements" added on.
There are hundreds, if not thousands of agents out there - start calling around.
Good luck!

The insurance companies will insure you, they just can't give you the 1,000,000+ policies until you have been in business a 2 or 3 of years.

I didn't hear that from anyone I called either.
I'm insured to 1 mil. and haven't even been in bus for a year yet.

So newer businesses it seems aren't able to get the higher insurance coverage? Does it also effect their premiums? Are they charging more for new businesses?

I found coverage, got 1,000,000.00 policy, It is a little more than what my neighbor is pay for his. Right or wrong they look at a new business as a higher risk, because there is no history to base on. They asked how long I had worked in the industry, but I don't think my 10 years lowered my premiums.
