Hello to all. My name is Dan Masker and I am the owner of Champion Lawn Care in Blairstown, NJ. I have been in the Lawn Care/Landscaping business for 7 years this coming season. If there is any advice i can give to the new lawn care professionals, it would be to not rush into things. Meaning, dont get big to fast. If your just starting out and need clientele try and sub contract lawns from a landscaper who really doesn't have the time to maintain his own accounts due to the fact he is so busy with hardscapes, That is how i got started.

If your just starting out and need clientele try and sub contract lawns from a landscaper who really doesn't have the time to maintain his own accounts due to the fact he is so busy with hardscapes, That is how i got started.

Can you give us a little insight as to the best way for new lawn care business owners to do this? How should they handle their fee for mowing? Should it be a % or what do you recommend?

What do you feel are the up sides and the downsides to doing things like this?
