I am not sure if this has been discussed. Have you seen this new publication yet?

Randall-Reilly launches landscape publication (http://www.tuscaloosanews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061224/NEWS/612240330/1001) - Randall-Reilly Publishing Co. has announced the debut of Total Landscape Care.

The new monthly publication targets landscape and lawn maintenance contractors, chemical lawn care companies and hardscape and irrigation specialists.

The debut fall issue mailed in November; monthly production begins in January.

Developed based on focus groups held around the country, TLC’s editorial content takes a how-to approach, showcasing ways professional landscapers have solved specific problems.

Features include business management, equipment selection, application and maintenance and chemical selection and application.

“The response from readers has been tremendous," said Jack Roberts, editor of TLC, in a company news release.

Founded in 1934, Tuscaloosa-based Randall-Reilly Publishing is a business-to-business media company focused primarily on the construction and trucking industries.

Total Landscape Care is part of the company’s Construction Media Group, which also includes Equipment World, equipmentworld.com and Top Bid.

There seems to be a couple of new lawn care operator magazines out this year.

Even though they said it starts in January, I swear I received their first issue about 3-4 weeks ago.

How did it compare to other green industry publications?

Well, I know that I received a new one, because the editor was talking about how it was the first issue and everything. Unless it was another new magazine.

I thought that I it was not bad. You could tell that they were still wet behind the ears. But other than that, seemed pretty good.
