When Should you trim back crepe myrtles? My old teacher has asked me to contact her in the spring time to trim them back, but she said she doesn't know when to cut them back. My mom said she thinks in the fall?

You want to prune them back in the late spring to early summer. doing it in fall or winter compromises their cold resistance.
