Contracts for residential contracts can be as simple as having the customer sign the estimate that you provide for them when you do an estimate. When they sign they are accepting the agreement. Commercial is a whole different ball game. You have to provide a copy of the insurance to them along with any agreement you draft up. You need to find out who the decision maker is for the commercial location. Make phone calls of that nature. Ask for the manager of the place and then find out from him the name and number of who to contact that can make that decision. It is usually best to meet the manager in person as this is much better than a phone conversation.

There is a lot of reading on getting commercial lawn care contracts (http://lawnchat.com/?cat=39) here.

And residential customers (http://lawnchat.com/?cat=44) here.

The basics of it is making contact with the decision makers. Go into the commercial facilities and find out who is in charge of the property care. From there, you can then submit a bid to them and see if you can get them signed up.

Try reading some of those articles. There is a ton of information there. Keep me posted on how it goes.

look and act professional, keep your rig and equipment clean.
Word of mouth, flyers and yard signs have worked best for us
