Welcome to our forum!

What kinds of things have you been doing so far to get the word out about your business?

Have you been telling all your friends and family? Usually thats the best first step. Then work at marketing to yours and their neighbors and build out from there.

linkedin.com is also a good source for finding customers.

Don't care much for linkedin. You can't make a business page until you have a high enough profile ranking and contacts.

LinkedIn is geared towards 'white collar'. Not that some of us are not business owners and all blah blah blah.
But LinkedIn isn't the most viable option for our customer base, IMO.

My wife and I take our 2 dogs to a local town dog park. I always noticed they lack toys, so I ordered 200 logo frisbee's and will drop them off as needed. Only a $200 investment.

That is a great idea! Do you have any pics of it?

You could play up the pet angle as you are handing these frisbees out at a dog park by maybe saying 'We are a pet friendly lawn care service.'

I'll get some pictures when they come in. I just approved the design.

The only thing is....now I'll have to watch out for land mines if I get anyone from them. But hey, you never know. I can always turn them down if they are bad enough.

I'm also thinking of putting one of those "tear off at the bottom" flyers in the community message board with a picture of us and the dogs.

We talked a little about this in the past but you could also sponsor some of these

Maybe at the park, at other parks, in front of customer's homes or elsewhere.
