Do younger business owners lose more money than older ones?

Do they tend to invest in riskier business ventures?

What's your view?

Life begins in an estuary (http://www.eurekareporter.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?ArticleID=14589) - Rick Storre has been owner of Freshwater Farms on Myrtle Road in Freshwater for more than 20 years. He is a grower of native plants, and enjoys the life of a landscaper, a gardener, a farmer and conservationist of an estuary.

He was born and raised in Eureka. His lineage, through his mother’s side, hails from the Barnum family, who first set foot on Humboldt County soil in the 1870s. His grandmother, Helen Barnum, was a longtime owner of the Eureka Inn.

Storre admits that life as a young adult brought both success and failure, and by the time he was 30 he had “made and lost a million dollars, twice.”

“I opened a video arcade with my brother, Phil. Actually, in all fairness to him, it was Phil’s idea. Our first weekend was the Jerry Lewis Telethon, and we made $3,000 and turned it over to them.”

I do agree. When you are younger you make a lot of stupid risks, and you pay for it later. Just like me right now. I am still paying for mistakes that I did 5 years ago.

It must be rough on a person to make and lose a million dollars twice as Rick did.

That would be really hard to swallow. The most that I have ever lost was approx $3,000, and that made me sick.
