Have you ever had a run in with the Better Business Bureau? Do you feel they offer a good and useful service or no? Are you a member of the BBB? If not why?

This article below talks about a customer's complaint with an LCO who installed sod and then claimed it started to die immediately after installation.

Boulevard of broken dreams: New sod turns into weedy mess (http://www.twincities.com/mld/pioneerpress/news/local/14881376.htm) - In 2005, she reported Mike's Lawn Care to the Better Business Bureau and found she wasn't alone. Last year, the BBB recorded 11 complaints for services totaling almost $15,000. Ekdahl didn't respond to Goodman's BBB complaint. He has resolved one of 18 complaints in the past three years, according to the BBB.

The BBB has no legal power to force a company to respond to a consumer complaint. The agency sends a letter to the company on the customer's behalf. The company's reputation may be affected by how it responds and how many complaints are lodged against it.

I have never had a complaint.

I personally feel that the BBB should be reported in my opinion. *Example; *About 5 years ago I signed up for the BBB. *I got to use their logo for marketing, everything. *But then one day I get a phone call and they tell me that I must remove the logo from my website because I did not pay an additional $150 for an internet BBB logo.

Well, I went off on them. *Told them that what they are doing is a rip off and I was never told I could not use the logo for the website and how I would not be renewing my services. *And I didn't. *But even since then, I seriously get like 10-15 calls a month of them calling me up asking me to come back and join them again, and how they will offer my FREE interent logo stuff. *Forget that!!!

The one morning my wife almost went off on one of the sales guys because he called like a 7:15am in the morning, and my business line rings into the office across the hallway from our bedroom. It was a tense moment

That is very interesting. I didn't know there was an additional fee for having an image online! Wow what a way to get business owners upset.

Have you ever had any customers come out and tell you they wanted to check your company out with the BBB before they began to use your services?
