Phi Kappa Tau alum Van Brown wanted to do something to celebrate his fraternityt's 100th anniversary. So what did he come up with that would not only benefit his fraternity but also get him an article written on his good deeds? He donated more than $50,000 worth of plants to create a Centennial Garden to his
Phi Kappa Tau fraternity headquarters.

Do good deeds and let others know you are doing good deeds. Word will then spread about you and your business. People will remember the good deeds you have done for many many years to come.

What's your thought on this?

Frat headquarters gets makeover (http://www.oxfordpress.com/hp/content/news/stories/2006/06/21/OP0623fratgarden.html) - The motivations behind donating trees and time to the garden are the friendships and family Brown formed while a Phi Kappa Tau brother at East Carolina in the 1970s. The fraternity made him the successful business man he is today.

“A fraternity is like owning a business without a bank account,” he said. “So the first thing you try to do is make diamonds out of sand it helped me to become the contractor I am today.”
