Has anyone ever used a Electric Log Splitter? Your opinion on it, and what model and size was it?

Interested in getting one, %95 personal use, my family and I do alot of camping and at $4.00 to $7.00 a bundle (5-7 pieces per) is rediculous. I don't do much tree work, but once a year i do trim about 17 oak trees for a commercial customer. I take as much wood as i can home, but most of it is to large to put on a small campfire. I f i can start splitting some of it, save me some money on our wonderfull, lazy, family camping trips:D.

Thanks for your input.

P.S. Sorry guys, i have been gone awhile, trying to get back on a little bit more.

I guess the size would depend on where you would put it when traveling. Some of these splitters can be pretty big.

This one is a 5-ton splitter. http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200395542_200395542

How much wood, do you need when you camp? I bet you could get away with a smaller unit depending on your situation.
