What if you went out this Halloween and did some marketing while you collected candy. Get in a costume and go out trick or treating. As you are out, why not hand out some refrigerator magnets that promote your business or maybe a flyer that promotes a fall yard cleanup and a gutter cleaning.
You know people will be answering their doors and they will be in the mood to talk for a moment since you will be dressed up. Maybe you could even give them a quote right there on the spot.
Do you have kids or friends who have kids? Why not pay them to give out a bunch of your flyers or magnetic business cards as well? They could get candy and cash for going out trick-or-treating.
If you don't feel like going out door to door and you get a steady flow of kids to visit you, why not hand them out candy with a business card attached to it that promotes a seasonal service and maybe 10% off a fall cleanup?
You could get dressed up yourself and say hi to the parents that are accompanying their kids and hand them a flyer as well.
What about setting up a Halloween haunted house or yard scene? You could offer more than just candy, maybe offer the trick-or-treaters something to drink? Cider? And maybe something to eat? It would give you a chance to meet the parents as the kids take a break.
What do you think of this and what kinds of Halloween marketing ideas do you have?
